About US
SCI NL chapter
Safari Club International – Newfoundland & Labrador Chapter is an organization of avid hunters and outdoors people who are dedicated to promoting responsible use of our natural resources.
We are passionate about hunting and our traditional Newfoundland ways.
Through our parent organization – Safari Club International – we support, promote and present a number of wildlife conservation and humanitarian efforts.
Since 1976, Safari Club International (SCI) has opened several chapters in Canada to broaden their horizon and to help spread the good work that they do throughout Canada. With the addition of the Newfoundland & Labrador Chapter it marks an exciting milestone as it ensures representation from coast to coast.

Safari Club International (SCI) is a global organization facilitating humanitarian services, youth education, conservation, and defending our hunting heritage.
Legal hunting is the primary source of funding for wildlife conservation, research, and enforcement programs in North America and around the globe. More than a billion dollars are generated annually by the sale of hunting and fishing licenses, permit fees, taxes on outdoor equipment and on private land maintained for sporting activities.
The conservation projects of SCI’s sister organization, SCI Foundation (SCIF), support research, wildlife management, conservation projects, and rural community leadership in North America, Africa, and Central Asia.
